I'm Hussein, a dreamer, and for me, sneakers aren't just shoes; they're the canvas of my life, each pair holding a story, a memory, a moment in time. It's a journey where every step is a chapter, and every sneaker is a page turned.
I was captivated by the grace and spirit of the Nike Air Max 97. To me, they were more than footwear; they were a symbol of relentless motion and innovation, much like the swift bullet trains of Japan that inspired their creation. They didn't just cover my feet; they encapsulated my ethos—a fusion of forward-thinking design and a tribute to a culture that treasures both speed and beauty.
SFOS began as my personal quest, an aspiration to curate 97 pairs of Air Max 97’s - i wanted every colour to represent every emotion and feeling i had, 97 albeit did not signify the sheer number of emotions that encapsulated me at the time, but was a good start! The symbol of what the trainer stood for, its design, the feeling on foot, was an inspiration to me in every aspect of life. This led to more, as the chase of material desires usually does and I felt I needed to acquire a collection of 365 pairs of trainers, one for each day of the year! So as my collection of 97 pairs of 97’s grew, I began exploring other sneakers that evoked my emotions. Call in the Jordan 4 Chicago, Air Max 95, Air Max 1, the list kept growing.
But it wasn't long before I had a profound realisation. It wasn't about how many pairs I owned; it was about the feeling and the moment each pair brought. The journey was about cherishing each step and each story they told.
I believe that our shoes are more than just shoes. They carry us through every step of our lives, quite literally. This deep connection with our shoes is a connection with our feet, a celebration of the ability to walk, to move, and to journey through life.
